Setfiles

What are Setfiles?​

Setfiles in MetaTrader are configuration files that store user-defined settings for expert advisors (EAs) or custom indicators. These files contain parameters such as input values, optimization settings, and other preferences specific to trading strategies.

How to create Setfiles​

To create a Setfile for your Alpha Bot, follow these instructions:

1. Open AlphaBot settings dialog​

You can either drag-and-drop the AlphaBot EA onto a chart (see Alpha Bot setup for instructions) or open the existing AlphaBot settings on an active chart (see updating Alpha Bot settings).

2. Save settings​

Once you have entered your settings, you can click the "Save" button.

Specify a location and name for your Setfile.

How to load Setfiles​

If you want to load settings from a Setfile, simply click the "Load" button and locate your Setfile:
